Mobile Apps case study

Hey Mumma – Early Access

A parent-first mobile app for child profiles, trusted health support, appointments and everyday care.

Business problem

The challenge

Parenting decisions rarely happen in isolation, yet the information families depend on is scattered across paper records, messaging apps, clinic systems, search results and memory. That fragmentation creates extra work at exactly the moments when parents need clarity, continuity and confidence.

Important context can disappear between appointments, caregivers and stages of a child’s growth. Parents are repeatedly asked to reconstruct histories, find documents and remember what happened last time.

Care discovery is equally fragmented. Finding the right doctor or trusted support, understanding availability and completing a booking often requires several disconnected conversations and tools.

The product also has to serve families without adding more noise. It must protect sensitive information, remain approachable during stressful moments and grow carefully as early-access feedback reveals what parents value most.

Solution

A connected product foundation

Hey Mumma creates one parent-first mobile experience for the everyday journey of raising a child. It connects family context, health information, trusted-care discovery and appointment workflows through a calm interface designed around real parenting moments.

The Flutter application gives families a consistent, responsive experience across core journeys, while a FastAPI backend provides a clear service layer for secure accounts, child profiles, care workflows and future integrations.

Rather than treating records, discovery and bookings as separate products, Hey Mumma brings them into a connected flow. The result is less repetition for parents and better continuity as needs change over time.

The early-access release creates a practical learning loop: families can use the product now, while feedback guides responsible improvements to usability, trust, content and the services that should come next.
